Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Filling
  • 1 cup sweetened red bean paste
For frying
  • 4 cups oil for deep frying

Method
 

Prepare the dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Shape and fill the donuts
  1. After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thickness.
  2. Cut out circles and place a spoonful of red bean paste in the center of each. Fold and seal the edges.
Fry the donuts
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides.
  2. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
