Ingredients
  

Bread Base
  • 1 loaf French bread cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2{2322dd7395def7590dc07c254bd43ca196d73b673c45c0088e8370f8e9d781a9}
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add the cubed French bread to the mixture and stir to combine. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the casserole for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
  3. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
