Ingredients
  

Danish Pastry Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter cold and cubed
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg for egg wash
Filling
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and cold butter until crumbly.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Make the Filling
  1. In another bowl, mix ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
  2. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square and fold the corners over.
  3. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.
