Ingredients
  

Stuffed Apples
  • 4 medium apples cored
  • 1 cup oats rolled
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup milk or almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vanilla Custard Sauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Apples
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Core the apples and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stuff the mixture into the cored apples.
Bake the Apples
  1. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or until tender.
Make the Custard Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Serve
  1. Serve the baked apples warm with the vanilla custard sauce drizzled on top.
