Ingredients
  

Muffin Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup pear, diced
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon chai spice blend
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Oatmeal Streusel Topping
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare Muffin Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients for the muffin batter.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  3. Fold in the diced pears gently.
Make Oatmeal Streusel
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
Bake Muffins
  1. Spoon the muffin batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Sprinkle the oatmeal streusel on top.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.
