Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup brown butter melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup sourdough discard
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the brown butter, sourdough discard, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
