Glazed Carrots
  • 1 pound carrots peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and slice the carrots into even pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, combine carrots, butter, brown sugar, water, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until carrots are tender.
  3. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the glaze to thicken.
