Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast with a pinch of sugar. Let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Mix: Add flour, remaining sugar, salt, butter, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms and knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  3. Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Make filling: In another bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in blueberries gently.
  5. Roll out: Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Spread the filling evenly over the surface.
  6. Slice & bake: Roll tightly and cut into individual rolls. Place in a greased dish and let rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.
