Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk and active dry yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Add sugar, eggs, softened butter, and salt; mix well.
  2. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Punch down the dough and roll into a rectangle. Spread Nutella evenly, leaving an edge.
  5. Roll tightly from one long side to form a log; slice lengthwise to reveal layers.
  6. Twist the halves together gently and place in a greased loaf pan. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
