  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a rectangular baking dish.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl. In another bowl, beat eggs until fluffy; mix with dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. In another bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream.
  5. Once the cake cools slightly, poke holes all over the surface and pour the milk mixture over it to soak.
  6. Refrigerate for at least two hours. Before serving, whip heavy cream and spread it over the cake.
