Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add chicken to a zip-top bag, pour in marinade, seal tightly, and massage to coat evenly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Make the Blueberry BBQ Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, mix blueberries, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high (375°F).
  4. Grill the Chicken: Remove chicken from marinade and discard excess. Grill for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. Glaze with Sauce: Brush blueberry BBQ sauce on chicken during the last few minutes of grilling for caramelization.
  6. Serve: Drizzle additional sauce on top before serving alongside grilled veggies or salad.
