  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tsp dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Gather and prep all ingredients; mince garlic and set aside.
  2. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet; add garlic to the same pan and sauté for one minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth; scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, adding dried herbs and Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently to meld flavors.
  7. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce mixture, adjusting with reserved pasta water if necessary for consistency. Serve warm.
