  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper and drain excess fat.
  2. While the beef cooks, wash and chop the romaine lettuce and slice the pickles and red onion.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. In a large bowl or platter, layer chopped romaine lettuce and top with cooked ground beef, cheddar cheese, pickles, and red onion.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine without crushing the veggies.
